If you're having trouble setting up your ET-732 unit, please see the guide below for a simplified set up process.
- Not pressing any buttons for a few seconds will set whatever is currently on the screen. It is best to perform these steps quickly so you won’t have to start over.
Make sure the devices are being turned on in correct order:
- Receiver (remote) unit first
- Transmitter (unit with probes) unit second
- If you’re having problems connecting the units:
- Resync manually by pressing and holding button on back of transmitter
- Replace batteries in both units; low power is the most common cause of connection problems.
FOOD Mode - This is the upper field of the ET-732 Receiver. This mode allows for one Set Temperature that will alert once it is reached.
The temperature range is 32°F to 572°F and the default setting is 176°F
Once the ET-732 is programmed, the thermometer will save the most recent settings.
- Press the HI/CLEAR button to display the Set Temperature (default is 176°F)
- Press and hold the HI/CLEAR button until the Set Temperature begins to flash (about 2 seconds)
- Press the HI/CLEAR button to increase the Set Temperature. Press and hold to increase the temperature rapidly.
- To lower the temperature:
- Continue pressing and holding the HI/CLEAR button until it reaches 572°F and resets at 32°F
- Continue pressing the HI/CLEAR button until you've reached your desired temperature
- To lower the temperature:
- Press the LIGHT/MODE button to lock your setting
- Press the START/STOP button to activate the Alert. The Alert symbol will display underneath the [1] and [2] boxes of each field on the Receiver.
Once the setting has been locked, you will once again see the current probe temperature on the Receiver unit. Press HI/CLEAR once to view your Set Temperature.
BARBECUE Mode - This is the lower field of the ET-732 Receiver. This mode allows for one HI Set Temperature and one LO Set Temperature.
- Once a HI and LO Temperature are set, the Alert activated, and the LO Set Temperature is exceeded, the ET-732 will Alert when the temperature goes above the HI Set Temperature, or drops below the LO Set Temperature.
- The range of the HI Set Temperature is 140°F to 572°F and the default is 176°F
- The range of the LO Set Temperature is 32°F to 554°F and the default is 50°F. The LO Set Temperature cannot be set at a higher temperature than the HI Set Temperature.
To set the HI Set Temperature:
- Press the HI/HR button to view the HI Set Temperature (default is 176°F)
- Press and hold the HI/HR button until the HI Set Temperature begins to flash (about 2 seconds)

- To lower the temperature:
- Continue pressing and holding the HI/HR button until it reaches 572°F and resets at 140°F
- Continue pressing the HI/HR button until you've reached your desired temperature
- To lower the temperature:

- Press the START/STOP button to activate the Alert, if the Alert symbol is not already displayed underneath the [1] and [2] boxes of each field on the Receiver.

- To lower the temperature:
- Continue pressing and holding the HI/HR button until it reaches the HI Set Temperature (or 554°F if HI Set is >554°F) and resets at 32°F
- Continue pressing the HI/HR button until you've reached your desired temperature
- To lower the temperature:
- Press the LIGHT/MODE button to lock your setting
